Location&Traffic
Situated
to the east of Beijing, and to the north of Shanghai, Zhaoyuan
occupies a very important strategic position. Based on Shandong
Peninsula, Zhaoyuan faces Dalian City, which is on Liaodong
Peninsula; the 2 cities form a strategic gate for the regions
of Beijing and Tianjin. Connected to Dalian by Bohai Sea,
Zhaoyuan is one of the communication hinges connected the
northeastern regions with southeastern coastal regions of
China. It is one of important gateways for foreign investors
entering China's market.
The communications of Zhaoyuan is very developed. The city
is near to the west of Yantai Seaport and to the south of
Longkou Seaport, which are, via Tianjin Seaport, connected
to everywhere of the world by ships. It is near to the north
of Qingdao Seaport, which is connected to over 100 countries/regions
by liners. Within the distance of 150km of Zhaoyuan, there
are 3 international airports. Airplanes can flight directly
to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macao and etc. There are 5 provincial
level highways traverse through the city. Recently, the
China Merchants Group of Hong Kong is planning to establish
a logistic center at the Industrial Garden of Zhaoyuan to
connect the center to its logistic net.

Qingdao Port
Qingdao port is the fourth biggest port in china, connecting
with more than 100 countries and regions. The annual throughput
is 120 million ton, handling more than 2 million containers.
It has 15 wharfs (63 berths), including 31 berths in ten
thousand ton class and 1 berth in twenty thousand ton class
.
Yantai Port
Yantai port connects with more than 70 countries and over
100 ports. The annual throughput is 22 million ton, including
foreign trade exportation of 11 million ton. It has 20 berths
in 10,000 ton class, including 1 berth in 30,000 ton class
and 1 berth in 50,000 ton class. There are 5 shifts per
week sailing abroad. They respectively sail to Fushan, Qunshan
and Yinchuan etc. cities.
Longkou Port
Connecting with more than 40 countries and regions, mainly
to Japan, H.K., Manila, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore
etc. Every week, there is 1 shift of liner that leads to
the above countries and regions.
